There is no login here, so ownership is a token shown once and stored only as a hash. That has a real cost, and there is a way back if you lose it.
Sealing a day so it cannot be rewritten
A hash chain proves nobody edited yesterday's numbers. It cannot prove the whole chain was not rebuilt this morning, which is what the timestamp on top of it is for.
