What this service is
xmrbid.lol is a public directory whose ordering is bought. A bid places a link on the board at whatever position that amount buys, and the position changes as other people bid. That is the entire product. It is advertising space, priced in public, and the price list is the rules page, which forms part of these terms.
What a bid buys
- A position on the board and inside one category, held until somebody pays more.
- A page for the listing, a click counter, and a receipt for the payment published at /proof.
- A claim token, minted once on the first bid for a link, which is how the listing is edited afterwards.
What a bid does not buy
- Not an endorsement. Rank says what was paid and nothing about whether a listing is any good, safe, lawful or honest. Nothing here is checked, reviewed or vouched for.
- Not exclusivity. A competitor may be listed, may outbid you an hour later, and may sit directly above you.
- Not a guaranteed rank. A position lasts exactly as long as nobody pays more for it.
- Not traffic. Clicks are reported honestly and are not promised, forecast or sold by the click.
Payment
- Bids are paid in Monero to a subaddress used by that invoice alone. A bid settles after the confirmations named on the rules page.
- Payments are not refundable. There is no payment identity, no processor and no reversal mechanism, so a refund is not something we decline to give, it is something the system cannot perform.
- Overpayment counts in full. Underpayment is held until the rest arrives, and if the invoice expires first it settles for what actually arrived. Money sent is never money lost.
- Prices are quoted in XMR. Any figure in another currency is a reference, converted from a public exchange rate, and is not the amount owed.
Your listing
- You must have the right to list what you list, and to use the name and description you give it.
- You are responsible for what is on the other end of your link, and for keeping it accurate. A listing whose destination changes into something that breaks these terms is a listing that breaks them.
- Whoever holds the claim token controls the listing, and losing it means losing the ability to edit. The token itself can never be restored, because only its hash is stored. A replacement can be issued, and only one way: by proving control of what the listing points at, which retires the old token. Control of a listing therefore rests with whoever holds the token or controls its destination.
- Anyone may raise anyone's listing. Raising it does not transfer control of what it says.
What is not allowed
The full list is on the rules page. In summary: no link shorteners, no chat invites as listings of their own, no sexual content, and one project is one row. On top of that, and without a great deal of ceremony about it, this board will not carry listings for material that is illegal to distribute where the server runs, for anything targeting a private individual, or for anything whose purpose is to defraud the people reading it.
Removal
- A listing that breaks these terms can be taken off the board without notice and without a refund.
- Removal hides the listing. It does not delete the payment or its receipt, because those happened and the totals have to keep adding up.
- The process for reporting one is on the takedowns page, along with what this board will and will not act on.
No warranty
This board is provided as it is. It may be slow, wrong or unavailable, and a listed site may be any of those too. Nothing here is a warranty of availability, accuracy, fitness for a purpose or continued existence. Use of anything found through this board is your own decision.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, liability arising from this board is limited to the amount you paid for the listing in question. There is no liability for lost profit, lost traffic, or anything a listed third party does.
Ending it
If this board shuts down, the intention is to publish that in advance, leave the final stats and receipts in place, and not to sell the listings or anything derived from them to anybody. There is nothing here worth selling, which is the point.
Changes and law
These terms change when the board does, and the date at the bottom moves with them. Continuing to use the board after a change means accepting it; a listing already paid for keeps the rank it bought under the terms that were current when it settled. Anything not resolved by reading this page is decided under the law of the jurisdiction the operator is in, and by a court there.
