The same check is check_tx_proof over the wallet RPC, and check_tx_proof in monero-wallet-cli, which wants the signature in a file rather than on the command line.

How to check it

This is a Monero InProof. It is a signature made with this board's private view key showing that the transaction above paid the address above. Verifying it takes a Monero node and no permission from us.

What it proves, and what it does not

It proves that a real transaction paid this exact amount to this board. That is the number the ranking is built from.
It says nothing about who paid. Monero hides the sender, and a receipt signed by the receiver cannot reveal one.
It is made with a view key. This server can prove money arrived and cannot move it, because no spend key is kept here.
It cannot prove the board is not bidding on itself. No signature can. That is why every payment is published rather than summarised.
