Reaching this board without the web

The same board, the same database, the same rankings. What changes is what sits between you and it: on these two addresses, nothing does.

Tor

Open it in Tor Browser. Nothing else will resolve it.

You should not often need this page: every response from the clearnet site carries an Onion-Location header, so Tor Browser offers the onion version by itself and one click moves you across. This is here for when you are somewhere else, or when somebody asks you for the address.

Open it with an I2P router running and its proxy configured.

Why these exist

The clearnet site sits behind a network that terminates TLS, keeps its own logs and answers its own legal orders. Nothing this board promises reaches into them, and no canary of ours can speak for them. Both addresses above reach the same board without passing through any of that.

It is also the point of the whole thing. Most directories will not carry an onion listing at all, which is a large part of why this one was built, and a board that would not run one itself would be asking listings to do something it was not willing to do.

  • Same board, not a copy. One database, one set of rankings. A bid placed on either address is the same bid.
  • Nothing extra is recorded either way. The counters are the same integers, described on the privacy page.
  • An onion listing is an ordinary listing. No warning label, no separate section, the same price. That is on the rules page rather than being a thing we say here.
